NO  BAD  VIBES

Don’t go there. Just don’t.

So let’s think, where is this negativity coming from?

1. Bored & Uninspired?

Find a New Outlet

Seriously, whatever you were doing to cope before clearly isn’t working. If you’re feeling this overwhelmed, it’s time to make a change. No idea where to start? Totally normal. If you had all the answers, you wouldn’t be feeling so low.

The Exercise:

What made you happy when you were 6 years old?  What would you do if you have unlimited funds? Or no judgement? Or more time?

The Result:

New goals, Renewed sense of self, & hopefully a smile.

Get Active

Running, Yoga + Pilates keep me sane. I was a state qualifying athlete in high school and even in the midst of eat, school, run, sleep, repeat — I was still happier than the first month of college when I let myself do what I wanted when I wanted. Here’s just one example of why.

2. Feeling disorganized & just generally overwhelmed?

Get up 30 minutes earlier & Make your bed.

Seriously. Every morning.

They say that anxiety is just the feeling of being stuck. Lack of control. This is you taking ownership of things you can influence to better yourself and your space.

Lists

I know we live in a digital society. Yes, it’s easier to sync and always have your info. But I’ve always been an analog list maker and won’t be changing my mind anytime soon. There are serious benefits.

Besides, you can get cute stationary like these pens. & this notebook.

3. Tired & Can’t Focus

Cut the coffee. Cut the alcohol. *sorry!*

Riding uppers and downers can lead to adrenal fatigue.

“When we are in a constant state of stress, the adrenals are overworked, and much like anything that is overworked in the body, they can run into exhaustion. Common symptoms of adrenal exhaustion are a general lack of energy, difficulty sleeping, clouded mind, depression, weak immunity with frequent colds or other infections, and difficulty digesting.”

Set a bedtime & stick to it.

This is so hard for me. But nixing the coffee + a grandma bedtime got me back on track.

4. Lonely & Falling Behind

It’s not all about you.

Seriously. Call that family member or friend you’ve been meaning to txt back. You have people that care about you, but you’ve been worried about your issues instead of theirs. It will give you a sense of perspective back.

See people.

Don’t be a little troll and stay home. Get out and see how other people live.

Volunteer in your community. Do that group activity you used to be involved with- book club, exercise class, or church. I’m even a fan of hippie communal dining! At least walk around the block.

Take a break from social media.

Facebook, Instagram & even blogs like this were made for “living your best lifeeee.” *gag*

People rarely express negativity on such personal and public platforms. It’s a fact.

If it makes you feel better, even Gigi Hadid did it.

I hope this helps! Everyone gets the blues, and it’s the lows that make you appreciate the highs.

bisous babes!

Annie
